I can usually sense them ahead of time so I’ll work around it, word substitution is my usual go to. I also do a lot of pacing and breathing so my speech comes out in a uniformed way (it helps to reduce the anxiety and panic that can cause a slight stammer to spiral into a full blown stutter that gets me stuck in a loop). There’s so many techniques you can adapt though, a good therapist can help you get them down and utilize them to the fullest. Some of the stuff you may even already naturally be using without even knowing it.
