I think one of the things that it is important to say is that we don't know other people's shit that they are going thru. Maybe they have a history that are all kinds of fucked up, maybe not. One thing that we can do is use what we know, as people who stutter, and that is what its like to go thru shit. We only know why we are going thru shit, we don't know what shit someone else has crawled thru. It's basic empathy. I'm sure you know this, but it sometimes need to be stated. I know several people who are depressed and anxious people and I don't understand why they are. I don't know what their shit is. I can't compare my full and unabridged list of my shit, complete with appendices, citations, and references, to only the things I can see about their shit. Now, putting this all into daily practice is a completely different story, of course, and one I struggle with at times...
