There’s a great passage during what I remember to be a Richie chapter as kids when he’s thinking about how smart Bill is and says something like “his mind didn’t stutter” and I felt that so hard. IT is my favorite book overall probably, only in small part because it treats a stutterer like a person who also does other shit and isn’t their sole character trait.
