We have an "insider" opinion that can contribute in a unique way. To answer your question it´s all up to the intensity of the anticipation and how we felt at the moment. Sometimes we speak fluently even though we felt or anticipated stuttering becuase we where in a good place regarding our mentality and nervous system. And maybe, the grade of the anticipation was not that high. Other times we feel low and even a little dose of stuttering-feeling may trigger us and get us stuck. This raise and interesting side - treatment. If you are careful of yourself regarding your sleeping, nutrition, sunlight view & outdoors, physical activities you will feel better on general and by that be more prepared and relaxed to face the anticipation feeling whenever it comes. Keep observing and proposing questions.
