I played the word switching game for a minute in high school. But I didn’t like it. I’m extremely precise with my language. So I got to college and just spoke. I’ve always had friends, I’ve always done well. Stutterers are capable of great things, it’s a combination of societal stigma and self limitations that hold us back. Do I still get scared? Sure! Do I still doubt myself sometimes? Sure! But I go out there and I do it and I’m so glad I have.
