50% Good news 50% NOT This morning (10 hours ago), I received my first dose of the (likely) NOE-105. This drug is being tested for its ability to treat stuttering in adults. Although I didn't experience any serious side effects, I noticed an improvement in my fluency. However, two hours after taking the pill, I experienced a slight numbness in my head and a light headache. I am still unsure if I am receiving the actual treatment, but today I mustered up the courage to do something I haven't been able to do in the past three years. I ordered a small latte at McDonald's drive-thru. I can't tell if the drug has started working by calming down the dopamine hyperactivity in my brain or if it's just the placebo effect.
