Can speech therapy help with speech blocks? I'm a 24-year-old man. I experienced a traumatic event when I was 13, and since then, I've started experiencing speech blocks. In small talks or when I'm speaking alone, I have almost no issues. However, during longer conversations (especially when I need to explain something or tell a story), I experience speech blocks. For those who don't know what a speech block is, this is how I usually sound like: "I'm a 24-year-old man. I experienced a... ***\[block... for like 2-3 seconds\]*** traum*a...* ***\[another block\]*** *...t*ic event... ***\[another block\]*** when I was 13, These blocks were much more severe during my teenage years, and although they've lessened in intensity since my 20s, they still persist. Is it possible to overcome this permanently through speech therapy?
