I think most people that stutter have mild to moderate stutter, so it's plausible to see majority of comments from them, perhaps trying to explain their own experiences and journey. For people with mild stutter, acceptance absolutely is something that can improve their confidence in interacting with others. However, someone with severe stutter like yourself obviously will feel alienated by them. I wish therewas more scientific way to measure one's stutter so people can seek appropriate help. All i can advise is to seek professional help. I had lot of bad experiences with therapists, until i found the right one that helped me break out of this prison. I have faith that you will too someday.
