Have you thought about pursuing a career in one of the trades like electrician or some other job where you aren’t expected to communicate as much? As far as today, I would go in and give it a shot. Who knows maybe you will do well? I found when dealing with the public I would develop a script and staying on that script would make it easier to talk. Of course the script would eliminate any trouble words or constants that I have a hard time saying. When dealing with the public just keep in mind that you will deal with them for say a minute and you will never deal with them again. So who cares what they think. But you have to give it a shot.
