Similar to HS really. Most people just are a bit confused by it the first time they hear you stutter then just accept it. Occasional laugh the first time (I just stare them down for a bit). You just deal with more people hearing it for the first time so that’s a bit rough. Social (party) wise is hard to tell. I was never a huge fan of large crazy parties. I kept a small social circle. I went to a branch campus of Penn State for my first two years that wasn't a huge party campus. So my group of friends in Freshmen/Sophomore year was very outdoorsy. Lots of hiking, biking, and making crazy random sports. I went to Penn State's main campus the last two years and I kept a small social circle. I still had fun but I was personally way to self-conscious about my stutter. I knew loud environments can make mine worse sometimes and I would just overthink things. I also enjoyed being in a place where I could easily hear my friends and get drunk for less. Overall it is still up to your personality. The truth is that 90% of people probably don't care we stutter, it maybe weird and different, but they won't care. I know I tend to think everyone is judging me when I know they are not but its just a stupid mental thing. If they care I would argue they aren’t a good person and probably don't want to be around them anyway. Still had a lot of fun. Wish I was a bit more social but I was never a crazy partier so I still had a blast. People will be assholes no matter what so just shrug them off as best as possible.
