Me my mother and little brother and my uncle have a stutter. My mother overcame it and I have come a very long way masking it and generally improving a lot. Generally I always felt alone with my stutter eventho I went to therapy as a kid. There is a lot of shame involved with it which I am just now beginning to unpack. I tend to slow down my speech and or implement breaks in my speech. I also have adhd which doesn’t help it feels like my thoughts areaway too fast for my mouth to get out. To your question, we never talk about it and I don’t know how I feel about it.
