My boyfriend of three years has never minded my stutter, and when we first met it didn’t bother him at all. He helps me order things when he knows I’m having a hard time or I give him the “help me” look. He doesn’t see my stutter as who I am, but just another part of me that he loves. Everyone has things about them they’d like to change, but when you find the right person they wouldn’t want to change you at all. I know for me I wouldn’t want my boyfriend to change, even though I know he’s not perfect. When you find the right person they won’t consider you having a stutter a “make or break” point. They’ll accept ALL of you, not just the perfect parts.
