Thanks for the reply. The reason I asked is a student at one of the schools I teach (I teach English at schools in Japan) wrote an essay on his stutter, he gets teased but not to the degree I did. Whenever I hear of a kid with one, I get all panicky fearing they'll go through what I go through and bullying in Japan is famously psychological. I kind of start reliving it and lose sleep etc. If I can get a sense that although I may be in the majority, not every kid has to go through what I went through, it may put my mind at ease, even if only a little.
