MENTAL: Resolve inner conflicts. Speak from the heart. Overcome trauma, depression, anxiety. Mindfulness. Stress resilience. Avoid unnecessary stress. Self-respect. Acceptance. Care less about other people's opinions/perceptions. In certain situations, preparation, while allowing for spontaneity. Don't speak to people who don't listen (they're not listening anyway so it's like talking to a wall). PHYSICAL: Healthy diet. Avoid refined sugar. Exercise. Enough sleep. Limit alcohol. Cut out weed. PRACTICES: Self-observation: Notice what the body does when speaking fluently and disfluently (mouth, lips, tongue, throat, chest other movements). When does stammering occur? What situations? With whom? Identify conflicts with these situations and people. Resolve them. Focus on vowels - consonants are not always the problem. What mouth shape does the vowel require? Make the shape before the consonant. Exaggerate in private to practice. Diction. Toungue-twisters. Public speaking. Time off thinking about speech and just chill.
