> If you're aware that you stutter, how come you didn't go see a speech therapist instead? Actually I did when I was 14 years old (didn't see worth writing). Some therapist suggested interesting ways of practicing: Self speaking in front of a mirror with eye contact, reading a book out loud, making monologue etc. I was (and still am) able to do all of them w/o stuttering. I practiced a lot, especially the mirror speaking, yet didn't work out, still stuttering at social interactions.
