I do this to and I believe the aversion of my eyes is my brain instinctively focusing on the stutter or trying to “correct” my speech what’s been helping me though is diving into the uncomfortable, hold eye dominance and a lot of people see eye contact as a respect thing so I think if you’re doing it from a place like that the uncomfortable feeling goes away and you make a more genuine connection
