Today somebody asked my name and I sat there staring at them while no words came out. After an unfortunately very common silence, my name finally came out. Needless to say, that person avoided me for the remainder of our encounter. Rinse and repeat daily for 30 years now. I’ve learned not to ever struggle because I don’t want to add a tick and cause more stress. So it’s very silent, lots of eye contact, and sweat.
