>My experience has been in professional environments that people are tolerant of disabilities. They are tolerant of visible disabilities(lost limb/blind/morbid obesity). They usually aren't tolerant of stuttering because it comes across as anxiety most of the time. After I gave a botched presentation, my manager and some of my team members lost trust in me(they assumed I was incompetent). It took months to regain that some of that trust back.
