Everyone here sounds like a quack (the SLP probably isn't a quack but does not understand stuttering if she gave you a 'list of exercises'). >... said my stuttering is horrible. This is the worst part of the whole post. I'd tell her not to comment on your speech if that's how she feels because that is literally the most harmful thing you can say. If she thinks she's being helpful, she's literally doing the opposite and reinforcing the stigma of stuttering which is what causes problems. If you don't feel like you want to work on your speech and/or are happy with your life, you don't need to go. If you want to try and work on speech to make communication more to how you'd like it to be, you can. Being pressured into going to therapy isn't going to yield results. It can only help if you want to do it.
