On a date Edit: I am tired and not a native English speaker, so sorry in advance for all the mistakes that are in the post I am currently trying to change myself, to overcome my social anxiety. Some days ago I had a date with a girl I learned online through okcupid. I chatted with her like 2 weeks before I met her so I could be sure that she wouldn't hate me and told her some days before the actual date that I am stutterer (which I had to explain to her, since she never met any) and she said she is guessing she is fine with it. So when we finally met I didn't talk much, mostly reacted to things she were telling or asking, so I wouldn't stutter and it got pretty awkward after a while and I really just though "fuck it", it probably couldn't get any worse now and overcame myself a little bit and also started talking more. Well, it still was awkward, differently this time, since she didn't really knew how to deal with it but she appreciated it afterwards because the conversation wasn't so one sided and boring anymore. I don't even know why I am posting here, I guess I am just proud of myself doing this tiny looking step forward, because it was the world for me. Edit: Thank you for all the kind words!
