"When we sing or whisper or use a false voice or use a stuttering prosthesis, our stutter is greatly diminished because the mind does not hear our normal voice. Choral speech is the same. The mind hears the choral speech and not our normal voice and hence our stuttering is reduced." I agree. Then the obvious question: if people who stutter (PWS) speak with a strange voice, then it works until the new voice becomes our 'default' voice. The result is: **relapse effect.** Question: however, choral speech doesn't have a relapse effect. Why?
