Since I too have a stutter, yes if it is in fact a stutter. There is little to nothing we can do about our stutters. I work retail and often I have to cashier, I absolutely hate doing it because it almost always makes me stutter, because I feel vulnerable in that spot, and I don’t want to show that vulnerability to any one. But my stutter sure makes sure that everyone around me knows that somethings going on. Most people are very polite and obviously notice it but just make me feel comfortable and their nice. I’ve had a few teens mock me for it at work, that really hurt. But my point is, my bosses and the corporation that they work for, although they are assholes for many reasons, they respect that I am doing everything I can to communicate clearly. Now I will say this though, if you’re applying for a job that REQUIRES clear communication through a telephone all day and you can’t speak without stuttering, I mean chase your dreams but…
