I was having a particularly stressful day at work when I was talking to some man who came into the store I was working at. He was asking me questions, and I was stuttering when I responded. He then looked at me, with this smug look on his face, and said "Am I intimidating you? Are you nervous because of me? Are you scared of me?" - his first thought was that I was stuttering because he - just some random guy - was making me *that* nervous. I just looked at him for a second, kind of in disbelief, and said "no... I have a speech impediment" and just cut the conversation short. Dude, don't flatter yourself. Just because I'm a young girl doesn't mean I'm scared of you.
