Such a good thought man. I had a interview for graduate school a few months ago. Once it began I could feel the sweat dripping off my fucking head and the speech blocks appearing. Once I became so nervous that I was barely fluent, I paused for a moment and said “fuck it”. I paused the interview and told them that I wanted to be honest and that I had a stutter. The interviews turned out to be really accommodating after I said that and I actually began to speak more fluent. Ended up getting accepted to the school! I think as stutters we have so much pressure trying to do everything in our power to hide the disability, it’s extremely counter productive. I’m only 22 but at this point I realize that people are gonna judge the fuck outta something they don’t understand. Might as well take some off that pressure off yourself. Most people don’t care and the ones that do aren’t important. Own it
