People who underwent anesthesia for medical procedures: how did it affect your stutter?

People who underwent anesthesia for medical procedures: how did it affect your stutter? I’m potentially getting an endoscopy soon and was told that for the procedure I would be put in “twilight sedation” which is apparently a lighter sedation compared to general anesthesia. I’ve never been out under before- never even needed to go to a hospital for a surgery or anything so I’m very nervous about anesthesia. Especially cause apparently one of the common side effects of the drugs is that it messes with your ability to speak fluently. Most of what I’ve seen/read mentions slurred speech but there has been one case report documented about a man who acquired severe stuttering that persisted for six months after his procedure. It only became manageable after extensive speech therapy. I’ve had mild stuttering triggered by anxiety that started since I was young. And while I’ve been able to manage it on my own, I’m terrified of losing the control I have over my stuttering or it getting worse from anesthesia. So my question is this: if you have had trouble with speech fluency and have been put under anesthesia for a medical procedure, did it affect your stuttering at all? Did it get worse? Better? I’d love to hear your stories and input (and maybe some encouragement). Thank you all in advance!
