Well, I'm the opposite, I love talking to guys like you. There are so many smooth talkers but they don't necessarily have anything interesting to say. Why I chose this path? I am fascinated by languages and communication. And being able to help people achieve their goals in life is a huge privilege. As to your presentation, I can completely empathise how anxious this must make you feel. And as you say, it's building up. I can't completely change your mindset and teach you a technique in this post but this is one thing you can do: it really helps to self-disclose right at the beginning of your presentation. That takes a lot of guts. But it will make things a lot easier the second after you've done it. A lot of the time, listeners are confused by stuttering, they don't know whether they should look away, finish the sentence, what? If you tell them "I stutter. Just be patient and wait for me to finish." then they won't think you're nervous or don't know what to say. They will understand and relax. My patients who tried this said it took a huge weight of their shoulders and that everyone responded positively.
