Most people commenting here don't really have severe stutter from the looks of it. Or maybe our definitions are different. My stutter is really bad to the point I can't get a word out for 10-15 seconds just to be stuck on the next one. I usually block on almost every word of the sentence so it gets impossible for others to understand me. Anyways to answer your question, I'm a programmer. Failed a bunch of interviews but finally got a job where i just communicate using messages, even during calls, i type on chat. Team is pretty supportive so got lucky in that sense but it's hard to move as most other companies look for better communication.
