Celexa (Citralopam) anti-depressant to decrease stuttering?

Celexa (Citralopam) anti-depressant to decrease stuttering? My therapist prescribed this for me and said it is known to reduce stuttering in some patients. But to be quite honest, it didn't seem like she knew what she was talking about. Because when I asked her to dive deep on why. She just said there are some papers that showed that and didn't say how in scientific terms. I've done a bit of research and it says there isn't conclusive evidence to say it works. Anecdotally, has it worked for you. Not sure if I should give it a try and risk being dependent on drugs.
