This is a better scenario than you make it out to be. At least in this environment people still respect your last name and maybe, because of that, they might be less willing to go full ham on you. It’s also good practice to be able to take a joke in the name of camaraderie. In a non-family environment, people might not outright dunk on you but they might silently judge you, something I’m sure we’ve all experienced throughout our lives. Sometimes the silent judgement with no respect can be more brutal than the blatant jabs.
