> I second guess every sound I make (causing a stutter). " I second guess every sound I make (causing a stutter)." In my opinion, even if I don't try to 'second guess' or look for stresses but I try to go for natural speaking, I will stutter because of (unconscious) reasons to stutter. As long as I'm convinced that I will stutter or I'm allowed to stutter etc, I won't be able to convince myself to go for a fluency mindset. Do you agree? I tried ignoring and distracting the stressor and it brings fluency but the stressor returns because it's not dealt with, I still 'care about the stressor which impact me to stutter'. If ignoring and distraction is like putting my head in the sand, then I should focus on 'not caring' and convincing myself to go for a fluency mindset. We can do this with affirmations, counter thoughts, positive talking to go for fluency, believing we are a fluent speaker and most of all to love fluency and I don't care about anything else. Do you agree?
