Hey, I’m a 21M with a stutterer and I have a girlfriend. I’ve had multiple relationships in the past too. I’ve always thought I was undesirable because of my stutter, but I slowly began to realize that the ability to speak fluently is only a part of the equation to being the full package. Having a stutter made me more emphatic, which made me more kind, nice, generous, and overall just a good person. I basically treated people how I wanted to be treated. Another thing is outwardly appearance and perception. I started working out heavily and getting really fit (bench 315, lean, and ran marathons). I also dress well. Outward appearance and your achievements can really have people overlook your stutter. They can’t help but respect you despite having a stutter. With the combination of having a good personality and having achievements and dressing well, it has made the dating scene a bit easier for me. Keep your head up man! Take the time you spend alone to improve yourself!
