I can attest to this. Before I started going to the gym I was a depressed mess and my stutter was awful. I went to a psychologist and started taking antidepressants (this was about 2 years ago). It helped with my stutter but the side effects were not worth it (insomnia, low libido, severe brain fog). After a rough breakup I was in the darkest place i had ever been in my life. I started lifting weights to feel better and I can honestly say that it saved my life. I still stutter, of course, but it doesn’t affect me that much anymore, and I believe that it’s because of the confidence that I’ve built up by going to the gym. I’ve made great gains in only a year of lifting and I’m a completely different person now. I’ve also recently come off my antidepressant ans I’m doing great now. Give it a try.
