For me, it’s a disability. Literally. I want to say the word… I know how to say the word… but in many contexts I am unable to say the word. Lack the “ability” to speak fluently. We are lucky this is our disability. I’m 40, I’m successful enough, and I’ve adapted. Like a human thesaurus sometimes because if I get blocked I have other words to try. We don’t need honor or recognition, at least I don’t. Because deep down a lot of you know the courage it takes to go after life anyway. I don’t stutter when I write. I don’t stutter when I sing. Just don’t ask me to tell me my own name in public lol
