I have a good handful of close friends (and many acquaintances) but I only discuss personal matters with them through text. I could hold longer conversations that way, and I do trust my friends/feel comfortable confiding in them. But it’s not the same case in person. When I’m with my friends I stutter less but that’s only because I keep my answers and responses to a minimum, I try to conceal it around them. I can’t really go into deeper, personal discussions face-to-face since it would be too hard for me to articulate myself clearly.
