There's a research study in Toronto currently going on that I'm participating in that's evaluating the usage of tdcs in the treatment of stuttering. I'm required to do this type of therapy while wearing the brain stimulation device and learned about it due to being involved in this study. I started the study last last Wednesday and it's for two weeks I've only done almost two weeks of it. Theres a chance I could be in the placebo group, which I suspect for a couple of reasons. The only difference between the placebo and the non placebo is the level current used in the tdcs device. The metronome practice is the only constant thing between them. I do think my fleuncy had gone up a bit though. I will say that the research study has be going past the 120 bpm mark and I've reached 180 bpm. I asked them what the lower limit for the bpm should be and they said there's isn't really one, however I started at 120 bpm. And they said the max bpm is like 195 or 190. So that's the only difference I've noticed between the video I linked and the current method the PhD people in the study has me doing.
