College and public speaking class advice

College and public speaking class advice I’m going to college, and I move into my dorm on Friday. I want to make friends in my classes and with my hallmates, but I’m really shy. If you guys could give me some advice on that, it would be helpful. Also, I do have to take a public speaking class for my communications major (ironic asf). Should I ask for accommodations in this class when giving presentations, even though I have to technically speak to the class?
