Stutter getting worse? I’ve had a stutter since as far back as I can remember. As a child, I remember it being particularly bad, teens it improved and mostly through to my mid 20’s. Now, I’m 29 and the past few years I’ve found it creeping back more and more. I’ve probably been more fortunate than others in this group, it’s not an every sentence type of stutter and I’m able to move around the block in most situations or hide it as others are probably used to. But at least a handful of times a day I’ll get a full block that I just can’t seem to pass, I thought I was over that. The weird thing is, it used to present itself more in stressful situations, school, work etc. Now, it really shows through when I’m more relaxed, at home, with family and friends. Has anyone else experienced this? Lucky for me, most people in my life at this point already know I’ve got an occasional stutter, so it hasn’t affected anything significantly, just a worry for where things seem to be going.
