Here's the shift that changed my life as a stutterer. I started to exploring my fears vs. my stutter being the cause of all things negative. Learned about the CourageMuscle. The more and more I intentionally leaned into my fears, the greater forward momentum I was achieving, regardless of stuttering. And I stuttered like a champ. Used the mantra: "fear equals opportunity" every time i recognized something I was fearful of. I would say this out loud. Before presenting, I would say, or use in my presentation - FYI: This presentation is me flexing my courage muscle. I also learned mindfulness meditation or people call it Vipassana, and created a daily practice to cultivate self-awareness muscle to literally, transcend my stutter.
