Agreed. I don't care about others like that - really, I don't have the resources to _also_ care about them, since I'm already very involved in speaking. Of course, we could talk about indirect goals, or internalizing. But I don't think that's fruitful. Stutter is already a cultural thing (because speaking is a cultural thing), and I don't see a point in trying to pretend it's not. It's not some sort of "individualist display". It's just stutter - an inconvenient demand for effort. I also think maybe there's a misguided normalization hiding behind the view that seeks to claim stutter is not a thing to struggle with managing (or potentially overcoming, in whatever measure). I mean... that would mean we wanted to remain in the unmanaged, right?... The stutterer who _wanted_ to stutter?... My perspective doesn't align with that. I want to be alright with stuttering, but not because it's somehow a thing worthwhile on its own. I want to be alright because I know I'm dealing with it.
