Honestly, I'd just keep this shit, there are much worse things people can be afflicted by, be it other hidden disabilities or visible ones. At least you can own a stutter and command respect by it. In my mind, speaking is but one of many things one does in daily life. Although my stutter is mostly just an inconvenience, it still takes up a lot of space in my head. This however does not invalidate me as a person in my day to day life. I kind of view it as a filter, where I instantly know which people to hang around, based on their attitudes to it.
