Neither do I disagree with much of what you’re saying nor does any of it go against what I’m talking about. It just sounds like you’ve misconstrued it all. For example, you don’t stutter less by trying harder to not stutter? Agreed! But you DO stutter less by working on it, as with literally anything in life. And what sort of definition of fluency restricts it to those born with it? This is ridiculous. It’s literally an excuse to never try and become fluent. So you can’t be rich if you earned it? Only if you were born into it? You’re “new money”? We can extrapolate this to just about any trait. Some are born with it, others acquire it. The former aren’t better than the latter. Fluency through hard work is still fluency.
