I was a supervisor for a surveillance crew of 5 for about 4 years. Before that I was a team leader of 2-3 guys in the Army. It’s not as bad as we make it out in our head. Respect them and they’ll (usually) respect you too. Give them a reason to respect you as their boss though. Know your craft, and know it well. Treat them how you wish your manager treated you.
