Yes. But stuttering therapy is not necessarily about improving. It is also about accepting your stutter, which is probably the most important aspect of being a stutterer. I have tried speech therapy several times. I don’t stutter at all when I am in talking with my therapist (I do however stutter with a ‘normal’ therapist) or when I am in a stutter group, so that’s kind of annoying. However, I have learned some other tools (self-acceptance and mindfulness the most prominent) which I use as both a stutterer and as a person in my general life.
