Dude all of that is achievable - like I still have a stutter, no longer severe but noticeable and I'm about to enter my PhD in internet studies with an eye to moving into something games production during my study. I've worked in web development which was super easy because most stuff was typed anyway. For me, the mechanical techniques (voice work, breathing work) coupled with theatre education (youth drama into an performance art degree) worked well to take my stutter down from severe to what I describe as moderate. As for ''surviving society with a disability''-- I'm also a quadriplegic, and I've found the best method for dealing socially with paralysis is the same as dealing socially with a stutter: do not let \*anyone\* know you're insecure, don't apologise for it and take the time you need to do what you want. A sentence like: '' Oh I-I-I-I ... sorry, I want-t-t-t t-t-t-o (sorry again) go ...t-t-o .....tthe ssshop-p-p'' which is pretty dysfluent would becomes ''Oh, I-I ... \*I\* want ...to ....go t-to the shop'' with zero apologies and more pauses to take down the speech speed. You might feel anxious doing this, but for me at least over time that anxiety worked it's self down and now I just sort of stutter at speech and truly don't care so don't give it the emphasis and cue others in that I might be insecure about it.
