You remind me my of early days. I used to be very successful online, but not that much in real life. It worked well for me in the end, as I’m now happily married. I truly understand your bitterness man. Not gonna lie, your stutter is probably what repels them off, as it is one of the conditions/disabilities that are still heavily stigmatized in our society. That doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to make friends or romantic partners, I think you’re just unlucky. Unlucky that you still haven’t encounter people that are not that shallow or willing to go past this condition and see you the way you’re truly are. Never give up hope, that might change. I know that good people still exist. Regarding your current issue, I really don’t have much advice. Most people get uncomfortable when hearing a stutter for the first time because they don’t know how to react. You can maybe defuse the situation by directly addressing the elephant in the room, or maybe engage in self-depreciating humor, which might make people more at ease. You also have to remember that your attitude about your stutter will play a huge role in the way people will react to it. If you’re uncomfortable, they will automatically feel that (especially women), and it will make them uncomfortable too.So maybe a change in your attitude or the way you deal with it would help. I know that’s not easy, but it might be a good first step. Best of luck bud. You’re not alone out there. We all have our own struggles.
