Welcome to Australian Stutterers. Hello, Welcome to the community made of stutterers living in Australia. This community is open and welcome to all those from every state of Australia, ethnicity, sexuality and gender. Maybe you are a person who stutters, or a person who knows someone who stutters and is looking for a shared space to have discussions, ask questions and share expereinces. You are all very welcome here. This subreddit was made as a way to reach out to fellow stutterers in the Aussie community. Its important for those of us who are living with the disability of a stutter to find community and to find those we can share stories and experiences with to lighten the load, the stress and the loneliness that comes with having a stutter. Many of us who live with a stutter experience hardships in relationships, work place environments, school environments and many more but do not have anyone to talk about these experiences with, or talk to people who *really* understand and listen to us. This is just the very beginning of this subreddit and there is still a lot of work to do, and i look forward to its growth and meeting all of you here on this platform. In the future, i hope that we can help each other connect to communities offline and online, to help spread the awareness of stutterers in Australia. To lessen the negative stigma against stuttering, the shame, the fear and the loneliness that can come with it. Please consider joining us here on Australian Stutterers. Thank you
