Just Diagnosed with Psychogenic Stuttering
Content
Just Diagnosed with Psychogenic Stuttering I'm 31 and have been struggling with speech dysfluencies for the better part of a decade. I had a speech evaluation today, and they said I have a psychogenic stutter, which traditional therapy might help resolve. I feel like a crazy person or some kind of faker whose condition is all in my head, and I could just stop if I really tried. I was told that psychogenic stuttering is quite rare. Does anyone else here experience it?
