I agree. I would also recommend going up and doing the oral report, and not trying to hide your stutter. Being vulnerable is the best thing you can do. I remember in high school I was in a History class with this guy that stuttered a lot. But he participated the most by raising his hand and talking in front of the class. I remember one girl spoke bad about him behind his back, but I bet he knew the class content better than her and has better grades than her. And not to purposely make the girl that said this look bad, but I heard she ended up homeless, and when I saw her last she was smoking cigarettes. She had family problems and this may be why she was bitter and insesitive about the guys’ stutter. So you focus on you man. These kids might feel strong when they group together but you do you, laugh along with them if you want. A few years from now you’ll maybe never even see them again, and these kids will get a real wake-up call when they figure out that bullying doesn’t get them anywhere in life (at least doesn’t help them improve in a way they can be proud of). Keep your head up man. The most dopest, confident, coolest dude I work with at my job said he was bullied in school. Keep your head up man, and tell these kids that what they said hurt your feelings. If they bully you again, just stutter on purpose while you say, “Is that all you guys have to do, is put others down?” Then you will have the last say and you will have won because rather than hide you stuttered on purpose. You’re young now so you may feel like your school years is your whole life, but there more chapters to come and use this chapter as a chance to build confidence and have joy. Would also recommend praying to the Lord. He may not give you immediate fluency but He will guide a great path for you, which you will be thankful for later.
