I worked in research for years, had my own company and work now in consulting as a manager (talking somehow all day long) with a really bad stutter … still more bad days than good days but at least the days with high anxiety are getting rare. From my experience: Own your stutter and adapt it to „your brand“. Once you start avoiding you will get into the circle of hell (we all now that). I go to therapy but focus more on talk therapy rather than techniques/exercises. Use small steps and tackle the dark steps that are deeply anchored in you with people who know you … I still cannot call strangers because I have silent and high pressure blocks in this situation … some things I accepted until I’m ready or finally to old :)
