Heyo. I guess I have the same stutter? (Ive only ever met 1 person in my life who stuttered) Anyways. As someone who recently graduated high school and currently in Uni currently, I can say that (in my opinion) the GF thing wasnt really important. When I entered HS I was a wreck, bad grades, depressed, trying to find myself (guess i still am). But. I surrounded myself with close friends whom ive known since 10 years and they know i stutter. Ive done speech therapy and it really helped in the beginning. Later on I just brushed it off but I do remember the lessons from it. What really helped me out a lot was, since I have Adhd, the prescribed ritalin. It really helped with my social anxiety. It also made me more social, im usually introverted unless around friends. My grades improved, however so slightly. But with the medication I engaged in conversations outside of my usual comfort zone. I was beginning to forget I stuttered. If I did I just took my time to get the words out. Usually I would be super embarassed and try to cut the conversation short and run away. Ive also considered suicide, almost crashing my car into an oncoming truck. But day after day went by and I graduated The advice I can give you is: Surround yourself with people you know and trust Do speech therapy (srsly it rly helps) It gets better everyday. Good luck fam
